Light & Rodent Treatment — Sheffield
Project Overview
British Builders attended a property on Daniel Hill, Sheffield to complete a combined maintenance visit covering both electrical and preventative pest control works. The job included replacing the laundry room light fitting and carrying out a rodent treatment and prevention plan across the relevant internal and external areas.
The photos show the laundry room, kitchen sink area, bathroom ceiling light, external drainage points and general access areas checked during the visit. Although no fresh droppings or obvious external access points were visible, preventative treatment was recommended to reduce the risk of future activity.
Scope of Work
- Inspected the laundry room lighting issue
- Replaced the faulty laundry room light fitting
- Tested the new light to confirm safe and reliable operation
- Checked key internal areas, including kitchen units and service points
- Reviewed possible external access areas around the property
- Set up professional rodent traps within the kitchen unit
- Applied bait treatment within the sewage pipe area
- Prepared a three-visit rodent monitoring and prevention plan
- Recommended a one-way gate system if bait activity is confirmed
Challenges & Solutions
- The laundry room light required replacement — A new fitting was installed and tested to restore safe use of the space.
- No clear active rodent entry point was visible — The engineer carried out checks to likely internal and external risk areas and proceeded with preventative treatment.
- The kitchen unit and drainage areas required attention — Traps and bait treatment were positioned to monitor and control any possible activity.
- The issue required ongoing confirmation — A three-visit treatment plan was arranged to monitor activity and complete further prevention if required.
Final Outcome
The laundry room light was replaced and tested, restoring safe and reliable lighting to the area. Preventative rodent treatment was also started, including traps, bait placement and inspection of possible access points around the property.
The first stage of the treatment was completed professionally, with further visits planned to monitor activity and confirm whether additional prevention, including a one-way gate system, is required. The property was left clean and tidy after the visit.
