Kitchen, Bathroom and Bath Tap Replacement — Sheffield

Project Overview

British Builders attended a residential property on Ainsley Road, Sheffield, to complete a set of plumbing replacement works across the kitchen and bathroom areas. The existing taps were worn and due for replacement, including the kitchen sink tap, bathroom basin tap and bath mixer tap.

The photos show the existing fittings, removed tap components, flexible connectors, basin area, kitchen sink and bath mixer arrangement. Although this was a focused plumbing job, it required careful isolation, removal, fitting, resealing and testing across several water outlets to ensure each fixture operated correctly and remained watertight after completion.

Scope of Work
  • Inspected the existing kitchen, bathroom basin and bath mixer tap fittings before removal.
  • Isolated the relevant water supplies to allow safe plumbing works.
  • Removed the existing kitchen sink tap and checked the surrounding connection area.
  • Supplied and installed a new kitchen tap with secure fittings and clean alignment.
  • Removed the existing bathroom basin tap and prepared the basin connection point.
  • Installed a new bathroom sink tap and checked operation from the basin area.
  • Accessed the bath mixer tap connections and removed the existing bath mixer fitting.
  • Fitted the replacement bath mixer tap and reconnected the shower hose arrangement.
  • Resealed all required joints around the bath and tap areas to support a watertight finish.
  • Tested all new taps for flow, operation and visible leaks before handover.

Challenges & Solutions
  • Multiple tap locations required attention — the work was organised across kitchen, basin and bath areas to keep the plumbing checks consistent.
  • The bath mixer connections required careful access — fittings were removed and replaced while keeping surrounding surfaces protected.
  • Old fittings showed signs of wear and corrosion — affected fixings and connectors were removed and replaced as needed.
  • Water tightness was essential after installation — all taps were tested under use and checked for leaks before completion.

Final Outcome

The kitchen sink tap, bathroom basin tap and bath mixer tap were replaced successfully, restoring reliable water operation across the main plumbing points. The new fittings were secured, aligned and tested to confirm smooth operation.

All visible joints were checked, the bath area was resealed where required, and the work areas were left clean and tidy after completion.
