Gender Pay Gap

Gender Pay Gap Report – 24 British Builders

Our Commitment

At 24 British Builders we are committed to fairness, equality, and transparency in pay across all areas of our business. We take the gender pay gap seriously and are working actively to reduce it year on year.

About This Report

This report covers all UK employees and has been prepared in line with UK Government gender pay gap reporting regulations. The data is based on our most recent pay records.

Our Gender Pay Gap Results

In our previous report, our mean gender pay gap was 43.59%. In the most recent reporting period, this reduced to 31.05%. Our latest figure shows a further reduction to 30.58%. This means we have reduced our gender pay gap by a total of 13.01 percentage points since reporting began, showing continued positive progress.

Understanding the Gap

The construction industry traditionally has a higher gender pay gap due to a smaller proportion of women in senior and technical roles. While we have more women joining the business, representation at higher pay grades remains an industry-wide challenge.

Our Actions to Close the Gap

We are taking the following steps to address the imbalance:

  • Inclusive recruitment: actively encouraging women into all roles, including apprenticeships and management positions.
  • Training & development: offering equal access to progression, leadership, and skills programmes.
  • Pay reviews: conducting regular checks to ensure equal pay for equal work across comparable roles.
  • Culture: promoting flexible working and policies that support work–life balance for all employees.

Our Ongoing Commitment

We are proud of the progress made, but we know there is more to do. We remain committed to reducing the gap further and ensuring that all employees, regardless of gender, have fair and equal opportunities at BBG.
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of 24 British Builders and will be reviewed and updated annually.
