Shower Replacement — Wallace Court
Project Overview
British Builders attended Wallace Court, Tizzard Grove, to replace a defective digital shower hub unit and restore reliable shower operation for the tenant. The works involved accessing the concealed shower control system, removing the faulty unit, supplying a compatible replacement and reconnecting the system to the existing water and power connections.
The visit also included functional testing of the shower controls, checking the bathroom installation area, and restoring the boiler system pressure to a minimum of 1 bar to support proper operation. The work was completed as a focused plumbing and electrical maintenance visit, with all accessible connections checked before handover.
Scope of Work
- Inspected the existing digital shower control and bathroom shower area
- Accessed the concealed shower hub and connected pipework
- Removed the defective shower hub unit safely
- Supplied and installed a compatible replacement digital shower hub system
- Connected the new unit to the existing water supply and power connections
- Checked visible flexible connections, valves and surrounding access panel area
- Tested shower operation, flow control and user function
- Restored boiler system pressure to a minimum of 1 bar
- Demonstrated the shower operation to the tenant
- Removed waste materials and left the work area clean and tidy
Challenges & Solutions
- The shower fault was linked to the concealed digital hub — The access area was opened and the defective unit was replaced with a compatible system.
- The installation required both plumbing and electrical reconnection — The engineer checked the water and power connections before testing the new unit.
- The shower system needed full operational confirmation — Final testing was carried out at the shower controls to confirm correct use.
- The heating system pressure required adjustment — Boiler pressure was restored to support safe and reliable system performance.
Final Outcome
The defective digital shower hub was removed and replaced successfully. The new unit was connected to the existing services, tested for operation, and the shower controls were checked to confirm the system was responding correctly.
Boiler pressure was restored to the required level, the tenant was shown how the shower operated, and all accessible work areas were cleaned on completion. The bathroom was left safe, tidy and ready for normal use.
