Project Overview

British Builders attended a property at Lion Mills, London to carry out targeted bathroom tile repairs following plumbing access works and signs of localised damage around the shower and floor area. After inspection, it was confirmed that a full bathroom retile was not required, as most of the existing tiles remained sound.

The work focused on reinstating the affected backboard, repairing loose wall tiles, re-fixing damaged floor tiles, and restoring waterproofing in the wet area. This approach helped reduce disruption while still making the shower area secure, sealed and suitable for continued use.

Scope of Work

• Inspected the shower and floor tile areas

• Prepared a rigid, moisture-appropriate base for tiling
• Carefully lifted loose tiles from the shower wall
• Cleaned and re-fixed affected wall tiles

• Lifted and re-installed affected floor tiles
• Used flexible adhesive where required
• Re-grouted and sealed repaired tile joints
• Applied targeted waterproofing to the wet area
• Removed waste and left the bathroom tidy

Challenges & Solutions

Final Outcome

The affected shower wall and floor areas were restored without the need for a full bathroom retile. The repaired sections were re-fixed, re-grouted and sealed to help prevent further water ingress and improve the integrity of the wet area.

All waste was cleared from site, and the bathroom was left clean, tidy and ready for standard curing before normal use.
